Northern Nevada Regional Theatre Conference and One Act Play Festival

Saturday 9am-5pm – IE festival/Opening Number Auditions, with "wip" (works in progress) performances and award ceremony following until approximately 7pm

What is it?
An Acting and Technical Theatre Festival - Students can perform in short plays and/or individual events. The short play and individual events festival will be on Thursday January 21st and Friday January 22nd in the afternoon and Saturday January 23rd all day. Events on Saturday will end with presentation of awards and a "wip" showcasing every school who chooses to be involved!
Who can participate and what does it cost?
All high school and middle school students are invited! There is a $10 charge per student registration. Individual Events are an additional $15 per person. Students may compete in TWO INDIVIDUAL EVENTS, as well as a Short Play or One-Act
Registration fee: $10/student
IE fee: $15/student
One Act: $50/play -- one play per school, except in the case where there are two full time drama teachers in which case two plays may submit. EVERY STUDENT IN YOUR ONE-ACT MUST ALSO BE REGISTERED AT THE $10 FEE!
Why should you participate?
Those IE’s receiving Excellent and Superior ratings at Regional will be invited to perform at the State Individual Event Showcase Auditions in March. All students MUST register with their drama teacher or Thespian Troupe Director
Superior short plays will be invited to showcase at the State Conference and the top one-act from state is invited to the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska!
This is a perfect platform to prepare for State and International Festivals!
Auditions will be held for the State Conference Opening Number!
Students must participate in Individual Events at the Regional level AND receive a superior or excellent ranking in order to move on to the Nevada State Thespian Conference in March 2016!
Accomplished individual events at the State Level may compete at the 2017 International Thespian Festival and vie for scholarships!
