Meet STO Kylee Morse!
Kylee MOrse is a senior at Spanish Springs High School, Troupe 6737! She loves acting, playing video games, listening to music, and going on long drives. Her favorite shows over quarantine have been Rupaul's Drag Race, Big Mouth, and The Queen's Gambit. Her goal as an STO is to help others boost their confidence and make as many friends as possible. She is so proud to be one of your 2020-2021 STOs!
Questions From Thespians:
How did you get into thespians?
I started getting into musicals and plays when I was in middle school, then I joined
drama club freshman year! After seeing what the other STOs from my troupe did over
the years I knew that’s what I really wanted to do!
What is your favorite show you’ve been in?
So my favorite show that I’ve been in was Robin Hood when I was a sophomore. I was
Billy Shakespeare and I was obsessed with Robin Hood. I just wanted to be his
friend and work with him and he didn’t really want me there. So I went and I competed
against him in a talent show and I rapped Sonnet 18. It sounds like a really silly role and
it was, but it really took me out of my comfort zone and I had a lot of fun doing it. It also
helped me let loose on stage and be more comfortable in myself.
Do you write?
I love all kinds of writing and I haven’t found a style I like the most yet, but I do a lot of
found poetry! It’s a lot of fun and is a great way to repurpose old books.
How was STO running?
Running was so much fun! I loved making so many friends and helping organize the
conference. In the moment it feels stressful, but it was so worth it. I wish I could run
again!
What is your favorite state memory?
My favorite state memory was dinner with all the STOs and performing our One Act and
winning! It was the perfect end to a perfect trip, and I’m so glad to have shared it with
everybody.
What is your favorite snack?
These are my favorite at the moment! They’re Four-Cheese Cheez-Its and they’re extra
flavored.
What is your favorite musical?
Do movie musicals count? Because Rocketman is my all-time favorite!! But besides that
Sweeney Todd is my favorite theatre musical!
